Abstract: The article discusses the attitude of the author of the Old Russian Chronicles, hagiographic works, hymnographic poems by Prince Vsevolod Mstislavich of Novgorod, for his role in historical events of Novgorod and Pskov in light of the General events of the Kievan Rus, ideological and political needs, Novgorod and Pskov fiefdoms.
